神経回路情報処理研究室とは？ Welcome to our laboratory

神経回路情報処理研究室は2014年度に知能情報工学科に設立された研究室です。The laboratory was established in 2014.

研究について (Our goals (Please see our 研究内容Research, 研究業績Publications ページへpages)

研究室では脳の情報処理の仕組みを明らかにし、その仕組みを利用した知的な情報処理システムを構築し、社会課題の解決に貢献することを目指しています。 ここで、脳の情報処理の仕組みのすべてを解明してから、応用を目指そうというわけではありません。一部でも仕組みが明らかになったときに、それが応用可能であれば、どんどん応用していきたいと考えています。 We aim to elucidate the information processing in the brain and build an intelligent information processing system for contribution to solving social issues. Here, we do not aim to elucidate all the mechanisms of information processing in the brain and apply them. Even if a part of the mechanism becomes clear, we would like to apply it in any fields if possible.

研究室のメンバーはそれぞれ自分の研究テーマを選び、そのテーマに沿った研究に取り組んできます。研究を進める上で必要な知識や技術を学ぶゼミを行ったり、他の研究室のメンバーと共同で、 研究や勉強会を実施しています。また、学内のスポーツイベントに参加するなどして、研究以外にも積極的に活動しています。 Each member of our laboratory chooses their own theme and works on the research based on that theme. We regularly hold seminars to learn the knowledge and skills needed for research, and collaborate with other laboratory members for research and knowledge sharing. In addition, we are also actively involved in events outside of our research activities.

Each laboratory member has an assigned desk and PC, and carries out their research activities while having discussions with their peers.

ワークステーションなど Workstation etc.

個人に割り当てられるPC以外にも，コンピュータシミュレーションや機械学習などで利用するためのGPU搭載のワークステーションも利用することができます。
他にも、議論しやすい環境となるような設備を備えています。 In addition to PCs assigned for each member, The laboratory member freely access to workstations with GPU for computer simulation and machine learning. Other facilities are provided to promote discussion.

研究活動Research Activities

　

ゼミSeminar

大学の講義では学ぶことのできないことを中心に、研究を進める上で必要な知識や技術を学ぶことを目的のゼミを実施しています。 Seminars are held to help the members acquire the knowledge and skills that are not learned in university lectures but are essential for conducting research.

定期的にゼミを実施し、各自が進めてきた内容を、研究室内で発表し、その知見、技術や知識を研究室メンバーに共有します。 指示されたことを進めるだけでなく、自ら研究に必要とされる知識や技術を考え、自主的に学び共有する姿勢を望んでいます。 Seminars are held regularly. The laboratory members present their progress and finding, exchange feedback with their peers. I hope that the members acquire and share the knowledge and skills required to advance their research independently.

研究Research

研究室の目標に関係する各自の研究テーマを見つけます。 そして、これまでの学んできたことだけでなく、新たに学びながら、その研究に取り組みます。
そのため、定期的に進捗状況を発表するミーティングを開き、その問題解決に向けた方策について議論をするほか、 最新の研究成果などについて調査し、共有しています。また，他の研究室と合同で報告会を実施し，異なる研究を行っている研究者との情報交換を行っています。 The laboratory members find their own research topics that are relevant to our laboratory's goal. We must tackle these research topics using not only what we have learned, but also what we will learn.
So, the progress meetings are held regularly. We will present our progress and exchange feedback with our peers to solve the problem. In addition, we will investigate and share the latest research results. Moreover, joint sessions are held with other laboratories to exchange knowledge and skills of researchers in different fields.

その他の活動Other Activities

スポーツSports

他の研究室の教員と学生と合同でテニスをしたり、ソフトボール大会に参加したりしています。
（COVID-19のため一時休止中) We enjoy tennis and other activities with members of other labs every weekend.
(This has been suspended due to COVID-19.)
